The National Monuments Service's description

This record refers to a church, associated with St. Gobban, which gave Kilgobban townland its name. In the late 19th-century, the site of the church was pointed out to John O'Donovan, and he referred to it in the OS Letters as follows: ‘Kilgobban, in the townland of the same name' and ‘in Killgobban Townland, the site of St. Gobban's church’ (O’Flanagan 1927, 40 & 224 (127-8)).
Its exact location was not recorded and remains unknown.
