The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, located on a rise in an area of undulating terrain. Ground rises gradually to NW−N, and falls away to SE to an area of level damp pasture.
Raised oval area (c. 22m E−W; c. 21m N−S) defined by remnants of an earthen bank. The bank (Wth c. 4m; int. H 0.8m; ext. H 1.3m) is best preserved on the SW arc, but is reduced to a scarp elsewhere. The scarp is most pronounced, with a broad external slump (H 2.2; Wth 4.6m) at S−SW. A low stony rise (Wth 2-2.4m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 0.6-0.9m) lies 4m outside the bank at SW; A low stony rise (Wth 2-2.4m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 0.6-0.9m) describes a shallow arc 4m outside the bank at SW; it appears to consist mainly of a heap of stones, but may represent the remnants of an external bank. The original entrance may be at ENE where there is a sloping gap (Wth 3.6m) in the scarp. There is another low area/break (Wth 2.4m) at NW. There appears to be a slight scarp or change in level in the SE quadrant of the interior, but this is obscured by overgrowth and impossible to inspect fully. The perimeter is densely ringed by brambles, clumps of which also encroach on the interior.
