The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, located at the edge of a small terrace, on the steeply sloping E side of a steep-sided N–S glen, through which a stream flows to N.
A subrectangular stone slab or flat sheet of bedrock (L 1.33m E–W; 0.74m N–S) embedded in the ground surface, with a carefully executed Latin cross (L 0.21m; Wth across arms 0.14m) incised to a depth of 0.002-0.003m in the exposed surface, close to its S edge. The long axis of the cross is aligned with the E-W axis of the stone.
The shaft (L 0.21m; Wth 0.03m) has simple bar terminals (Wth 0.06-0.8m). The breadth of the shaft contrasts with the relative narrowness of the arms, each of which consists of a thin incised line, projecting 0.05-0.06m from the shaft, and ending in a short bar terminal.
