The National Monuments Service's description

In wet pasture 420m E of the townland boundary with Coolnamohoge and 340m E of Glenacurrane woods. Not depicted on the 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map. It is shown on the 1897 ed. OSi 25-inch map as a rectangular-shaped area (dims. c. 29m NE-SW; 27m NW-SE) enclosed by a bank from S-SW, incorporated into a field boundary from N-E-SE reduced to a scarp elsewhere. Truncated at W by local roadway running NE-SW. Identified as a possible moated site on Bórd Gáis Éireann Curraleigh West-Limerick gas pipeline aerial photographs (Strip map 2, site 2/3) taken 03/11/1984. Visible as a sub-rectangular area delimited by trees on Digital Globe orthoimage taken between 2011-13 and on Google Earth orthoimage taken 10/10/2006. No surface remains visible of levelled earthwork on Google Earth orthoimage dated 18/11/2018.
