The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, immediately W of townland boundary with Ballyroe. Not marked on the 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map and 1897 ed. 25-inch map. Annotated ‘Souterrain’ on Cassini ed. OSi 6-inch map, where it is shown as a small circular opening immediately W of stream. No surface remains of souterrain or watercourse visible on Digital Globe orthoimage taken between 2011-2013 and on Google Earth orthoimages.
