The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, on moderate NNW-facing slope, with excellent views from W-E. Depicted on the 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map as a raised circular-shaped area, defined by a scarp. Shown on the 1897 ed. OSi 25-inch map as a raised D-shaped area defined by a scarp incorporated into a field boundary from SW-S-N-E-SE, truncated at S by a field boundary running E-W. Partially levelled site surveyed in 1999 and described as a slightly raised area defined by a scarp (Wth 0.6m; H 1.6m) from W-N-E, which has been quarried in the NE. No surface remains of field boundary that defines the site at S on OSi historic maps. A section of a curving scarp defined the raised interior which slopes slightly to N. Curving N arc of levelled monument visible on Digital Globe orthoimage taken between 2011-2013 and on Google Earth orthoimages.
