The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, on steep NE-facing slope. Circular area (40m N-S; 38.8m E-W) enclosed by scarped edge (H 1.05m; Wth 1.7m). Scarp is much eroded by cattle and very indistinct E->SE. Interior is under pasture except NE third which is very uneven with tree stumps scattered about- there are some coniferous trees still standing here; interior is shown as completely covered by trees on 1923 OS 6-inch map and located within a 'fox covert'. Low earthen bank (H c. 0.2m; Wth c. 3m) runs as chord across interior in WNW sector. Low earthen bank, not marked on OS 6-inch map, skirts enclosure at NE on NW-SE axis.
