The National Monuments Service's description
In wet pasture 150m N of the Assaroola River that marks the townland boundary with Boolanlisheen. Enclosure (LI050-010----) lies 240m to E. Depicted on the 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map as a circular-shaped enclosure. Shown on the 1893 OS 25-inch map as a sub-rectangular-shaped area (dims. c. 45m NE-SW, 38m NW-SE) defined by a scarp and intersected at NE and S by drains running E-W. Surveyed by the ASI in 1999 when described as a raised circular-shaped area (diam. c. 38m) defined by a scarp (Wth 1.3m, H 1.4m) that from NE-SW is incorporated into a field boundary with associated field drain. Interior slopes slightly to S. Outline of monument delimited by bushes is visible as on Google Earth orthoimages.
