In improved pasture, 150m E of a stream that marks the townland boundary with Curraghturk. Possible ringfort (LI049-193----) lies 15m to SE. Depicted on the 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map as an oval-shaped enclosure. Shown on the 1897 ed. OSi 25-inch map as a roughly circular-shaped area (diam. c. 29m) enclosed by a bank from NW-E-SW reduced to a scarp elsewhere. Truncated at W by a field boundary running N-S. Outline of scrub-covered monument visible on Digital Globe orthoimage taken between 2011-13 and on Google Earth orthoimages.
