The National Monuments Service's description

In reclaimed pasture. Not marked on OSi 6-inch maps. Group of pits (site TR/2/16/1) excavated in 1986 by Claire Walsh on the Bórd Gáis Éireann Curraleigh West-Limerick gas pipeline (Gowen 1988, 109-10). The results of this excavation were summarised as following; ‘Six small pits, forming no apparent plan and with no obvious associated features, occurred over a 10m stretch of the corridor. They measured between 15cm and 50cm in diameter with depths of 6cm to 20cm. The pits were characterised by the presence in three of flint knapping waste, similar to that found in site 60' (Walsh 1987, 24). No surface remains visible on Digital Globe orthoimage taken between 2011-13 or on Google Earth orthoimages.

See attached location map from Gowen 1988, 73.
