The National Monuments Service's description

In reclaimed pasture, 90m NE of Morningstar River that forms townland boundary with Mitchelstowndown. An enclosure (LI049-025----) lies 140m to the SE. Not marked on OSi historic maps. Identified as potential site immediately E of a linear cropmark running N-S on the Bórd Gáis Éireann Curraleigh West-Limerick gas pipeline aerial photographs (BGE 1/5000; 2578, Site 256) taken 03/11/1984. Monument visible as rectangular-shaped cropmark transected at SE by post-1700 field boundary running NE-SW on Digital Globe orthoimage taken between 2011-13 and on Google Earth orthoimages. Cropmark of rectangular shaped earthwork visible on oblique aerial photograph (ASIAP 342, 22) taken 05/01/2003.
