The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, 73m W of Martinstown Stream. Depicted on the 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map as a circular area enclosed by a bank. Shown on the 1897 ed. OSi 25-inch as a raised D-shaped platform (diam. c. 26m) defined by a scarp from SE-S-W-N-NE and intersected at E by a post 1700 field boundary running N-S. Monument visible as a raised circular platform defined a scarp with fosse from S-W-N-NE, intersected by modern road at E and SE, on Digital Globe orthoimage taken between 2011-13. Monument visible as a circular-shaped platform with fosse on Google Earth orthoimages. Aerial photograph taken 13/09/2002 shows the remains of a curvilinear ditch 50m to NW of platform which may be an outer enclosing element associated with the platform. This curvilinear ditch may represent the remains of some form of bailey or outer enclosing element to NW of platform.
