The National Monuments Service's description
Ó Danachair (1955, 206) recorded the following details about this holy well; 'Toberreendoney "Lady's Well" and "St Bridget's Well" on 1840 map. "Three holy wells, not much frequented at present" OSNB. Two of the wells still exist, the third has been closed up. A vague tradition that there were four holy wells here. No names are remembered. Devotions have long since ceased'.
