The precise location of Capt. Stannard Castle has not been identified. Described in the Urban Survey (Bradley et. al. 1989, 153) as following; 'Capt. Stannard Castle. Site Unknown.
A large stone house and an old castle with a backhouse, owned by Capt. Stannard in 1653.'.
