The National Monuments Service's description
In reclaimed wet pasture, 60m S of watercourse that forms townland boundary with Knocklong East. Not marked on OSi historic maps. Identified as a rectangular enclosure with circular-shaped internal feature standing within a possible field system (LI041-002001-) on Bórd Gáis Éireann Curraleigh West-Limerick gas pipeline aerial photographs (BGE 1/5000 2572; Strip Map 4, Site 4/16) taken 03/11/1984. Partial cropmark of rectangular-shaped earthwork (dims. c. 31m N-S x 29m E-W) visible on OSi orthophotograph taken between 2005-12 and on Google Earth orthoimage dated 28/06/2018.
