The National Monuments Service's description
In reclaimed pasture, 155m W of Morningstar River that forms townland boundary with Baggotstown West. Ballincolloo House lies 100m to the SE. An earthwork (LI040-205----) lies 50m to the NE. Not marked on OSi historic maps. Identified by Bruff aerial photographic survey in 1986 (AP 5/2107) as a rectangular-shaped cropmark of a possible enclosure. Monument visible as a rectangular-shaped cropmark (dims. c. 30m N-S; 25m E-W) bisected by a relic post-1700 field boundary running N-S on Digital Globe orthoimage taken between 2011-13. Cropmark visible on Google Earth orthoimages.
