The National Monuments Service's description
Earthwork described in 1942-3 as following; 'This is a high flat topped mound surrounded by a deep wide fosse. Outside this there was a bank, of which only a small portion remains, on the N.E. side. The bank seems to have been deliberately levelled elsewhere and spread over the surrounding field. The mound is nearly 20' [6m] high over the fosse bottom and the overall diameter is 216' [66m]. The structure was densely overgrown with bushes, which are now cut away. Situated in low-land' (O'Kelly 1942-3, 238). Tree-covered monument visible today on Digital Globe aerial photographs.
