The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, on gentle NW-facing slope. Circular area (31.6m N-S) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 1.65m; ext. H 2.65m) with external fosse (D 1.6m; Wth 1m), and with counterscarp bank (ext. H 0.6m) W->NW. Enclosing element is masked by dense overgrowth. Field boundaries which formerly skirted enclosure on N and E sides have recently been removed, but field boundaries still abut enclosure at W and SE. Gaps in bank at ENE (Wth 2.3m) and W (Wth 1.5m). Interior is covered by dense undergrowth and coniferous trees; at centre is fenced-off animal pen, no longer used.
