In level pasture. Clonelty graveyard consists of a rectangular-shaped area (42m E-W; 33m N-S) enclosed by a low drystone wall visible from N-E only and elsewhere reduced to a scarp with traces of an external fosse visible from S to W. Pre-Norman church ruins (LI037-051----) of Clonelty stand in N quadrant of graveyard. No gravemarkers evident, but low stone-walled enclosure (5m N-S; 5.8m E-W) adjoining SW corner may be the remains of family burial plot. Interior overgrown with bushes and mature deciduous trees.
