Earthwork described in 1943 as following; 'This structure consists of a large oval mound of earth surrounded by a fosse. There is a causeway across the fosse and a ramp leading to the mound on the south side. Just east of the centre of the mound there is a smaller mound on top of the larger. The maximum height of the structure over the field level is 20' [6m]. The overall dimensions are 180' [55m] by 160' [49m]' (O'Kelly 1942-3, 177).
