The National Monuments Service's description
Monument described in 1942-3 as following; 'This consists of a rectangular platform surrounded by a fosse. This is gone on the west and north sides, but is still visible on the east and south. Towards the west end of the south side there is a break in the edge of the rectangle. This may have been the entrance. The fosse is interrupted outside this. The maximum height over the field level is 1' [0.3m] and the rectangle measures overall 110' [33m] north-south by 120' [36m]. Not marked on the O.S. map' (O'Kelly 1942-3, 239). Partial cropmark of levelled monument visible today on Digital Globe aerial photographs.
