The National Monuments Service's description
In improved pasture 300m W of Lough Gur. Grange stone circle (LI032-004001-) 60m to W, two stone circles (LI032-005/006----) are in the adjoining field to the N and possible anomalous stone group (LI032-318----) 35m to SE. Not depicted on any OSi maps. Identified by Geophysical survey in 2008 as Feature 6 in Area 1 (fluxgate gradiometer survey) and described as a, ‘short distance to the NW [of LI032-318----] of this, the survey identified a slender, semi-circular arc of negative magnetic gradient, approximately 12m in length and 0.5m in width, which could conceivably represent the remains of another circular structure, in this case possibly a building defined by a stone wall footing, or perhaps a bedding trench whose fill is less magnetic than the surrounding soils’ (Cleary 2008, 40). No surface remains visible on OSi orthophoto taken between 2005-12 or on Google Earth orthoimages.
