On low-lying wet pasture, cut by land drains and watercourses, 150m E of a land drain and 360m NW of a townland boundary with Ballinlough. Enclosure (LI032-110----) lies 105m to W and moated site (LI032-249----) lies 140m to SSW. Monument is not depicted on OSi historic maps. Monument identified by the Bruff aerial photographic survey in 1986 (Bruff 289: AP4/3633) as a small circular-shaped earthwork. Upstanding monument is visible as a circular-shaped earthwork (diam. 14m) defined by a fosse and enclosed by an outer bank, as seen on OSi orthoimage taken 2005-2012 and on Google Earth orthoimage 20/09/2020. A second, slightly smaller circular-shaped earthwork (diam. 13m) is conjoined to SE and is also defined by a fosse and enclosed by an outer bank.
