The National Monuments Service's description
On a gentle N-facing slope, in improved pasture, 20m NE of a townland boundary with Kilballyowen. Field system (LI032-230001-) lies 55m to W and enclosure (LI032-023002-) lies 60m to SE. Not depicted on OSi historic maps. Monument identified by the Bruff aerial photographic survey in 1986 (Bruff 249: AP 5/2053) as an oval-shaped cropmark which is traversed by a field boundary running N-S, across the E sector. Monument is visible as an oval-shaped cropmark (40m N-S; 35m E-W) defined by a fosse and traversed by a field boundary running N-S, across the E sector, as seen on OSi orthoimage taken 2005-2012, on Digital Globe orthoimage taken 2011-2013 and on Google Earth orthoimage taken 20/09/2020.
