The National Monuments Service's description

In improved and drained pasture which is liable to floods, 7m SW of a farm trackway and 45m SW of the River Mahore which also marks a townland boundary with Oldtown (Bennett). Ring-barrow (LI032-153001-) lies 30m to S. Not depicted on OSi historic maps. Identified as a barrow (Site 7) by Christine Tarbett and described as: ‘This barrow no longer survives as being visible on the surface. It was rotavated prior to knowledge of its purpose in the early 1970s,’ (Tarbett 1987, 52). Monument is not visible on OSi orthoimages taken 2005-2012 or on Digital Globe orthoimages taken 2011-2013, although a small circular-shaped cropmark (diam. 5m) can be seen on Google Earth orthoimage taken 20/09/2020.
