The National Monuments Service's description

National monument No. 247. The SMR paper file suggests that a fort is indicated in this area on the 'OPW' first edition of the Ordnance Survey [OS] 6-inch map. However no circular enclosure or 'fort' is depicted in this area on any edition of the OS 6-inch maps. No other information in paper file to support the existence of an archaeological monument at this location. Circular-shaped hollow in area marked on six-inch map may represent site of possible enclosure.
