In reclaimed grassland, with possible medieval road (LI031-069----) 310m to W and ring-barrow (LI031-105----) 75m to NW. Earthwork annotated ‘Lisduffnacrean’ on 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map. Outline of much degraded monument consisting of a circular-shaped area (diam. c. 39m) defined by a scarp with remains of a faint outer fosse visible on Digital Globe orthoimage taken 2011-13. Outline of poorly preserved monument visible on OSi orthophoto taken 2005-12. Depicted as a raised circular-shaped area defined by a scarp with wide external fosse intersected from S-W-N by a post-1700 field boundary on the 1897 ed. OSi 25-inch map. Post-1700 field boundary has been removed. Monument described by O’Kelly (1944, 51) as a Type C earthwork consisting of a ‘circular flat-topped mound surrounded by a deep wide fosse. The mound is in places 12’ [3.65m] high, and the fosse is 45’ [13.7m] wide for most of its circumference. The overall diameter is 240’ [73m]’. Faint outline of much degraded monument on Google Earth orthoimages taken 20/09/2020 and 28/06/2018. Wide external fosse enclosing visible on Google Earth orthoimage taken 16/03/2016.
