The National Monuments Service's description
Large enclosure described by O'Kelly (1942-3, 233) as following; 'This is a circular platform on the edge of which there is a bank. Outside there is a fosse. The bank, which is of earth and gravel, is very collapsed. The entrance is not recognisable. The overall diameter is 285' [86m]. It is situated in good rich low-land'.
