The National Monuments Service's description

In flat pasture, 15m NE of disused railway and 120m W of watercourse that forms townland boundary with Ballyculleen. Depicted on the OSi 25-inch map as a circular-shaped area (diam. 26m) enclosed by a bank with external fosse. The National Museum of Ireland Topographical files recorded the discovery of a ‘burial [LI031-228----] of extended skeleton in a ringfort known as Kyle in the 1940’s’ (Cahill & Sikora 2011, Vol. 2, 456). Monument visible as circular-shaped enclosure overgrown with trees on the OSi orthophotograph taken between 2005-12 and on Google Earth orthoimage dated 14/02/2020.
