The National Monuments Service's description
In grassland on former bogland of Rockbarton Demesne. The westernmost of three habitation sites (LI031-080002/0003----) discovered in 1941 during turf cutting at Rockbarton bog (Mitchell and Ó Ríordáin 1942, 255). According to Mitchell and Ó Ríordáin the site was similar to nearby habitation site (LI031-080002-), however no burnt stone and ‘much of the central area had been cut away; its original extent was estimated at 20 sq m. Pieces of pottery and scraps of flint were found” (ibid. 256, 258). The monument is not visible on aerial photography.
