The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, on the former deer park of the demesne Cahir Guillamore House (LI031-041019-), 100m W of the avenue to Cahir Guillamore. Ringfort (LI031-041010-) lies to immediate S. Within S portion of field system (LI031-041001-) and within deserted medieval settlement (LI031-041009-) incorporating house 1 and 2 (LI031-041007/008-). Not depicted on OSi historic maps. Identified as the site of possible medieval houses to the NNW of Fort A (LI031-041010-) on aerial image (Ó Ríordáin and Hunt 1942, 40-41; Figures 1 and 2). Ó Ríordáin and Hunt described them as: ‘The main group, north of A (LI031-041010-) and west of 6 (LI031-041011-) contains about a dozen houses with small square or rectangular enclosures associated with them. These are possibly the yards or gardens of the houses (ibid. 43-44). The outline of one or two houses (dims. c. 5m N-S x 11m E-W) aligned E-W are visible as rectangular cropmarks to the NW of excavated medieval houses (LI031-041007-/008-) on OSi orthoimage taken between 2005-2012 and on Digital Globe orthoimage taken 20/09/2020.
