The National Monuments Service's description

On a natural rise, in pasture with panoramic views from NNE-E-S-W-NW, 105m ESE of a townland boundary with Corrabulbeg. Depicted on the 1897 ed. OSi 25-inch map as a circular-shaped earthwork. Monument surveyed by the ASI in 2007 and described as a subcircular-shaped area (18m E-W; 16m N-S) defined by a fosse (Wth 4.75m; D 0.2m) from ESE-SE and by a scarp (Wth 1.0m; H 0.15m) from ESE-SE-SSE. A wide outer bank (Wth 9.2m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 0.2m) is present from ESE-SE-SSE, which is reduced to scarp (Wth 0.7m; H 0.2m) from SW-W-N-NE. The surviving bank and scarp are defined by a ring of mature beech and thorn trees. Traces of an outer fosse (Wth 3.2m; D 0.2m) are present from SW-W-N-NE. There is a possible entrance at NE. The interior has a SW-facing slope and is grass covered. Monument is visible as a roughly subcircular-shaped tree-planted earthwork on OSi aerial orthoimage taken 2005-2012, on Digital Globe orthoimage taken 2011-2013 and on Google Earth orthoimage taken 28/06/2018.
