The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, atop low hill, in area of limestone outcropping. Circular area (diam. c. 60m) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.35m; ext. H 0.85m) with external fosse (D 0.35m; Wth 1m). Running concentrically with and immediately outside fosse is stone-faced earthen bank (H 1.5m) which is part of surrounding field boundary system. Interior, largely covered by brambles, has a very uneven surface due to rock outcropping.
