The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, on a break in an E-facing slope. A bulbous (girth at middle 4.6m) deeply fissured limestone upright (H 2.5m; Wth at base 1.8m, Wth at top 0.8m) leaning slightly to the E. The lower half of the stone has been rubbed smooth by cattle. Packing stones are evident at its base on the E side, and there is a scattering of loose stones for c. 1m out from the upright.
