The National Monuments Service's description

The precise location of a children's burial ground known locally as a Killeen and located close to the River Gale in the townland of Templeathea East has not been identified. In 1838 the Ordnance Survey Name Books recorded that 'in the townland of Templeathea E., near the River Gale. A burial place for children' (OSNB Rathronan Parish, 1482).
