The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture on slight E-facing slope, with good views to the N and S, and restricted views in other directions. Located 80m SE of the townland boundary with Longford East and a ringfort (LI025-024----) lies 390m to SW. The site (ext. dims. 66m N-S; 56m E-W) is depicted as a small oval enclosure on the 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map and as a flat topped mound surrounded by two fosses on the 1897 ed. OSi 25-inch map . Monument visible as a roughly circular area with trees covering the monument on the OSi orthoimage taken 2005-12 and on Digital Globe orthoimages taken 2011-2013. Inspected by the ASI in 1999 and described as densely overgrown monument with restricted access. The site consists of a raised circular-shaped area (int. diam. c. 20m), defined by a deep fosse (Wth 12.6m; int. H 2.6m; ext. H 0.4m) and external bank (Wth 5.4m; D 0.4m). The interior appears level and dry. The NE and SE side is partially truncated by two field boundaries that cut across both the fosse and external bank. No entrance is present. The ring-barrow is visible on the latest Google Earth orthoimages taken 18/11/2018. The Google Earth image illustrates the levelled outer margin of the site to the SE and S. The linear earthworks visible on the S edge of the site are also likely to be the levelled remains of the external bank of the monument in that location.
