The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture 50m E of the townland boundary with Dromkeen. The ringfort (LI024-002----) known as ‘Gortavalley Fort’ lies 110m to NNE. The enclosure is not depicted on historic OSi maps. It is visible on OSi orthoimages taken 2005-12 as a circular enclosure surrounded by a fosse (ext. diam. c. 12m). It is not visible on the Digital Globe orthoimages taken 2011-2013. Identified by Bruff aerial photographic survey in 1986 (Bruff 49; AP 4/3717) as a U-shaped enclosure. The site is not visible on the most recent Google Earth orthoimages taken 28/06/2018.
