The National Monuments Service's description
In rough poorly drained pasture. Depicted on the 1897 ed. OS 25-inch map as a subcircular-shaped earthwork. Surveyed by the ASI in 2008 and described as a slightly raised, circular-shaped area (26m N-S; 24m E-W) defined by a scarp (Wth 3.1m; H 0.55m) with shallow external fosse (Wth 6.4m; D 0.2m). A drainage channel running N-S truncates the scarp at E. The interior is level and covered in thick grass and rushes. Monument visible as a subcircular-shaped earthwork on Google Earth orthoimages taken 18/11/2018.
See attached sketch plan and cross-sections surveyed and drawn by the ASI.
