The National Monuments Service's description

On slightly raised area of a NE-facing slope, in rough pasture, 280m SW of the Reask River (O'Dwyer 1959, 77). Ringfort (LI024-055----) lies 180m to ESE. Depicted on the revised 1897 ed. OS 25-inch map as a penannular-shaped earthwork (32m N-S; 31m E-W) which is cut by a field boundary running NW-SE across the WSW sector. Surveyed by the ASI in 2008 and described as the arc of an enclosure (C 15m) defined by a scarp which has been modified in places and levelled in others. The scarp (H 1.2m; Wth 3.5m) is visible from NW-E-S, having been straightened from E-S. The scarp has been levelled from S-SSW where a farm shed now stands and is also levelled from SSW-W where cut by a field boundary running NW-SE across the edge of the monument. There is no trace of the monument on the opposite side of the field boundary. A portion of the scarp from W-NW has also been levelled where there is a concrete slab. The S quadrant of the interior is occupied by a farm shed (approx. 12m NW-SE; c. 10m NE-SW) with a slab extending into the NW quadrant and a concrete apron to SE. A vague trace of a much disturbed scarp from NW-N-E is visible on Digital Globe orthophotos taken 2011-13 and on Google Earth orthoimages taken 28/06/2018.
