The National Monuments Service's description

In level grassy clearing within deciduous plantation. Oval area (20m N-S; 14m E-W) defined by partially levelled scarped edge (Wth 5.5m; H 0.85m), with an external fosse (basal Wth 1.0m; total Wth 10.1m; D 0.45) are best preserved SE-NW but shallower NW-SE, largely infilled at E where choked with tall grasses, nettles and wild irises (yellow flag) intermittently. Interior is higher in centre and slopes down gently to E and W.
