The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture on a slight N-facing slope 95m S and 193m W of the townland boundary with Drumloughan South. Ecclesiastical enclosure (LI022-057003-) lies 430m to SW. Depicted on the 1840 ed. OS 6-inch map as a circular enclosure. Shown as a small field and not as an antiquity on the 1897 ed. OS 25-inch map. Surveyed by the ASI in 2000 and described as a roughly circular-shaped area (20m E-W) defined by a bank mainly reduced to a scarp (Wth 6.1m; H 0.8m) from NW-N-E-ESE. The interior is level and clear of overgrowth. Field boundary intersects site from SW-W-NW. Known locally as a 'fort', the site was mostly levelled in the 1980’s with the interior levelled to compensate for slope. Levelled monument visible on the OSi orthophoto taken 2005-2012 and Digital Globe orthoimage 2011-2013. Faint trace of monument visible on Google Earth orthoimages taken 2018 and 2020.
