The National Monuments Service's description
On a S-facing slope, in gently undulating pasture, with good views from N-E-S and which are restricted elsewhere. Depicted on the revised 1897 ed. OS 6-inch map as a substantial oval-shaped tree-planted enclosure. Old Crecora church (LI022-009001-) and graveyard (LI022-009002-) 235m to W and a fulacht fiadh (LI022-012----) lies 225m to E. Monument surveyed by the ASI in 2000 and described as an oval-shaped area (68m NNE-SSW; 52m WNW-ESE) defined by a very low scarp (Wth 1m; H 0.2m) which is indistinct from the surrounding field in places. The interior has a gentle rise from the edge of the scarp to the centre, which is flat. There is no obvious entrance. The site is enclosed around the base of the scarp by a timber picket fence. This appears to be a designed landscape feature in the form of a grove of trees and is associated with Ballymurphy House located 375m to N. Monument is visible as a large oval-shaped tree-planted feature on Digital Globe orthophotos taken 2011-13 and on Google Earth orthoimage taken 28/06/2018.
See attached sketch plan by the ASI and Google Earth orthoimage.
