The National Monuments Service's description

In a complex of buildings, at the N end of a ridge, in pasture. The River Maigue lies 500m to W, which also serves as a barony boundary. A house is depicted in this vicinity on the Down Survey Map of Coshma Barony (Hib. Reg.; Simington 1938, 145). Annotated 'Mondellihy Ho.' and depicted on the 1840 ed. OS 6-inch map as a rectangular-shaped house with a linear range of outbuildings to W. Depicted on the 1897 ed. OS 25-inch map as a larger building within a wider complex of buildings. According to the National Inventory of Architectural Heritage (NIAH Reg. No. 21902112), the present house was built circa 1840, incorporating an earlier eighteenth-century house and the associated outbuildings, which date to the original house. There is no evidence of any house of 17th entury date or earlier in the vicinity of Mondellihy House. A complex of historic and modern buildings are visible on Digital Globe orthophotos taken 2011-13 and on Google Earth orthoimages taken 28/06/2018.

Hibernia Regnum: A set of 214 barony maps of Ireland dating to the period AD 1655-59. The original parish maps have been lost but the Hibernia Regnum maps are preserved in the Bibliotheque Nationale, Paris (Goblet 1932, v-x).
