The National Monuments Service's description
Discovered by Brian Halpin (02E0750) during 'topsoil-stripping of Bord Gáis Éireann's Pipeline to the West ... when a further small burnt spread was situated c. 17m west of the above site (LI019-268----), on the opposite side of the stream. After this area had been cordoned off, heavy machinery destroyed all trace of the possible archaeology.' Grogan, E., O’Donnell, L. & Johnston, P. (2007) The Bronze Age landscapes of the Pipeline to the West, Wordwell, p259.
