The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, on top of a low hill with an extensive view NNE->ESE. A limestone upright (H 1.04m) which is rectangular in cross-section (0.3m NE-SW; 0.4m NW-SE) and tapers at the top to a roughly rounded point. Its edges have been worn smooth by cattle, who have also worn down the ground around its base.
