The National Monuments Service's description
In rough pasture, on gentle SE-facing slope, immediately E of large limestone quarry. Ovoid area (22.7m E-W) enclosed by earth-and-stone bank WSW->SSE; enclosing element absent SSE->WSW. Bank relatively low (int. H 0.45m; ext. H 0.3m) NNW->SSE, but much more substantial (int. H 1.25m; ext. H 0.9m) WSW->NNW. Part of latter section has slumped into interior giving the impression of two enclosing banks with a dip (D c. 0.6m) between them. A curved earth-and-stone bank (H 0.3m) abuts enclosure at SSE forming annex area which is masked dense overgrowth. Interior, under dense scrub vegetation, is littered with loose stone and is slightly lower than level of surrounding terrain.
