The National Monuments Service's description

In rough pasture, on W-facing hill slope, In area of outcropping limestone. Oval area (29.5m N-S; 25m E-W) enclosed by earth-and-stone bank (int. H 0.9m; ext. H 0.8m) NW->S, and defined by scarped edge (H 0.3m; Wth 1.6m) S->NW. Bank continues to W from either end as field boundary, so that site occupies corner of field. Interior surface is uneven due to outcropping limestone, and is under rough grazing except NE quadrant which is covered by dense overgrowth.
