The National Monuments Service's description
In level pasture. Circular area (diam. c. 36m) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.85m; ext. H 1.9m) with external fosse (D 0.4m; Wth 1.5m), and with counterscarp bank (H 0.25m) ESE->SSE. Enclosing element and parts of interior are covered by dense overgrowth. Entrance at N where break in bank (Wth 3.1m) corresponds with causeway over fosse; gap in bank at W (Wth 2m) caused by cattle accessing interior. Interior level and boggy especially SW quadrant which is heavily poached by cattle.
