The National Monuments Service's description
Discovered during the excavation of a short cist (LI018-01102-) in September 1989; it was found 2m S of the cist (Doody 1992, 219; Doody 1993, fig. 5). The excavation revealed a rectangular depression (0.3m N-S; 0.7m E-W; D 0.11m) containing a setting of stones showing 'some trace of burning' which 'is most likely to have been a hearth site' (Doody 1992, 219). No finds were recovered in association with the hearth.
