The National Monuments Service's description

In marshy pasture, on a gentle SE-facing slope. A crescent-shaped mound of burnt material, truncated on its N side by an E-W field boundary; the mound (H 1.5m) extends out 14.5m from the field boundary and its max. width is 23m The opening faces E, where the mound partially surrounds a water-filled oval depression (4m N-S; 8.8m E-W).
